Thank you for your interest in participating in the Buckeye Book Fair as an author. The Buckeye Book Fair (a nonprofit organization) is Ohio's largest literary event whose main goal is to raise funds to support libraries and literacy programs in Ohio. The Buckeye Book Fair offers extensive statewide publicity and a proven audience of book buyers from throughout Ohio. The Book Fair is held annually in Wooster on the first Saturday of November. Authors are included in the Book Fair by invitation only. There is no fee to the authors to participate. To be considered for the Book Fair as a writer, illustrator, or photographer, you must meet some of the following criteria: a) Must have a book published since the previous Fair. The Buckeye Book Fair does not accept unsolicited self-published (or print-on-demand) works of fiction, poetry, or memoir. If you and your book meet the qualifications, the Buckeye Book Fair Steering Committee will review your book for inclusion in the Book Fair. The Steering Committee uses a number of criteria to evaluate books for inclusion. Since the Book Fair can accommodate fewer authors than requests received for attendance, books that meet all the qualifications of inclusion may be denied. Our goal is to make the Buckeye Book Fair the best experience it can be for the visitors and the authors. If your book is selected for inclusion, you will be invited to attend the Book Fair.
